Batman??????

why's batman a superhero if he doesnt have any powers?

Superman Can fly... Spidermal can spin web... Batman rides the batmobile?Batman??????
Basically, there have been more "superheroes" without any inherently unusual abilities than there have been with any "super-powers," but your literal minded generation has trouble accepting terms in any manner other than what they seem to imply. Batman is lumped in with the so-called "superheroes" because he fits almost all of the conventions of the genre. He wears a costume. He fights crime and works for the common good. He keeps his real identity secret, and he has a secret headquarters. He has been deputized by the same part of the Law Enforcement Community, and is even summoned by a device (the Batsignal) which has no other function that is used by Gotham's police force. He has fought and defeated individuals who the police were powerless to handle. He risks his life daily for the common good.

Ironically, the first use of the term "superhero" has been traced to a scene in a "The Guardian and the Newsboy Legion" series by Simon and Kirby, which appeared in 'Star Spangled Comics' for nearly a decade, starting in 1941. The Guardian is identified as a "superhero," despite the fact that he is just a man who wears a costume to hide his identity, and he has no "superpowers." The term "mystery man" had initially been used to describe characters like Batman and even Superman, and it took several years for the word "superhero" to replace the term "mystery men" in comics, after it was introduced, and well over a decade from its first use before the non-comics reading general public started using the word.

I suggest you look up the word "superior" and see how it is defined. Super is just a contraction of the word superior and does not automatically mean what the general public assumes it means. In fact, even Superman wasn't nearly as "super" when he first debuted, but as his range of abilities grew and he crossed over to other mediums like newspaper strips, radio programs, television, and movies he corrupted the popular meaning of a word that has started out as a slang term.
Batman is beyond being a superhero...After all is told really he is a legend! Heros die, Legends live forever.

The reason Batman is a SuperHero in the comics is because he has superhuman strength that he worked on during his fomative years as an adolecent and on through adulthood. Essentially in the Batman mythos he has trained his body to act and react superhumanly. Therfore he is a "superhero". He fights for justice and searches for truth. He is the Gaurdian of Gotham his home city. However, he has been known to venture outside his city to fight other super villians, save our planet, our universe and even traveled through time to save our continuum.

Another thing to keep in mind is that his arch nemesis ,Joker, is also sans superpowers. In fact they are polar opposites aside from the fact that they have no "real" super powers.

Batman relies on strength, superior intellect, and detective skills to take his foes out of commission.

In my opinion he is the ultimate superhero because he is a mortal like the rest of us. He chose his path and took complete diligence in obtaining the best knowledge of everything and anything he needed to accomplish his tasks.

I took your question as asking why Batman, as opposed to other superheros, is he considered a superhero. For me and many others this is exactly why.

All the semantics about other superheroes and their origins aside Batman makes the grade because of who he is, what he stands for and what he has accomplished in his illustrious career.Batman??????
You can call him a "Superhero" because he helps figh crime and bring justice to all who deserve it. He is a "hero" but also a "Super Hero" because he does many good deeds and is very skilled beyond the normal policeman. Still Batman is cool because unlike Superman, Batman is human.
I gues that means Ironman isn't a superhero either. I'll point out that even though he dosen't have powers, he often defeats villains who do. That seems like a pretty good qualifier to me.Batman??????
batman is the best i mean superpowers you can do whatever you want destroy be good whatever but batman does not have any to me that is a real nonfiction super hero character
Yes that麓s true what the others says but he have the Power of BAT. You will may be see it on the newst movie which it will come out on 2010.
You don't have to have power to be a superhero. Saving peoplle is the poinbt
Yeah he doesn't have super powers but thats what makes him so cool (in my opinion)
