Whenever I watched the original batman series or read the comics, Joker always had his skin bleached white, not make up, and he never had scars. What do you think made Christopher Nolan, director of Dark Knight, include this whole new look on joker? I personally think because he just wants this new batman series to be alot darker than the films from like the 90s.Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
He gave the Joker scars and face paint to appeal to a darker and edgier teen audience, mainly the Hot Topic shoppers. Joker did not have the scars in the comics till much recently to match the Dark Knight movie. It also depends on who draws him now in the comics too. Jim Lee draws a bad ***, scar free Joker, while Paul Dini has given the Joker the movie scars every once in a while.Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
Nope, the scars were Nolan/Ledger's idea. Also, his skin is really bleached white and his hair is really green, the rest of his look is makeup. He doesn't even use knives in the comics. The knives are a more realistic take on the Joker's M.O.: Death by smiles (a.k.a a poison laughing gas called Joker Venom).Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
I think you answered your own question there....
