To do this in the real world, the stars would have to be aligned perfectly, pretty much.
--You'd have to be an heir or heiress, inheiriting hundreds of millions to billions of dollars, because you wouldn't have the _time_ to both make your money and make a decent vigilante of yourself. Not of the _Batman_ sort anyway--not if you want to be the kind of guy who doesn't kill ever, and who does it all unarmed.
--You'd have to start training in earnest at a really young age. The intellectual, detective training could start young, in the early teens, but because of the way puberty and growing up works (and conflicts with) some athletic endeavors, your best bet would be to do the martial-arts training starting no earlier than 15, no later than 17. Any younger and you literally stunt your growth. Any older and you won't _get_ the decade-plus mastery of martial arts down in time to hit your peak physical condition. You'll be hitting your 30s and 40s--too old to be a rookie at this.
--You will need connections to get all of your toys. The Batmobile--not just a sports car but an armored sports car that also acts as a mobile internet server, cell phone tower and emergency medical facility in a pinch. The body armor so you can take bullets and bombs and flames. The grappling hooks and throwing blades--legal or not. And the rest of the uniform, which needs to be well-made to take the punishment you dish out.
--You will need a top-notch legal team to keep you out of prison. Simply put, the police won't want to put up with a "Batman" type who routinely a) tampers with evidence, at a crime scene, or b) hunts people down and beats them up. A) is a felonly, obstruction of justice, and B) is felonly assault and felony vigilantism (of the sort lynch mobs go to prison for).
--And you'll need the two things that are _never_ talked about in terms of Batman: the ability to function on little to no sleep, indefinitely, at top condition, and the ability to take long falls without breaking your legs or damaging your spine. Seriously, if you've invented the long-fall boots and are fine with 2 hours of sleep a night, go for it!
Honestly though...if you set your sights a little lower and a lot more legal, you might be able to get more done.
Thanks kindly for the Best Answer, and your patience. And I was aware of the female username...thing is, it's just as possible for a woman to train herself to go out there and kick tail as it is for a man. Which is to say, there are some ladies in that "Real Life Super Heroes Project" (more)

How much training and money would it take to become Batman?(continued) that's been in the news. So it would be a little bit sexist to not take your idea a little bit seriously. *lol* Having said that, yeah, I did geek out. Sorry for any overkill. This is somewhere between a hobby and a bad habit I have--trying to figure out how to make superheroes real.

Batman does it in 7 to 9 years in real life it would take 20 years to get the kind of training you need and by then you would no longer be in peak human condition that batman is, also you would have to change you entire diet habits and only eat foods that will help your body be psychical fit. now the money issue I hope your bill gates other wise it ain't even a real possibility.How much training and money would it take to become Batman?
@Waah - LOL!!! XD
@asker
Well research Batman. Are you a multi-billionaire with ties to top corporations and military contracts? Have you trained your entire life? Do you have a burning thirst for vengeance that fills that empty void in your heart? (Cus after a while, I'm sure being a vigilante gets to be repetitive and frankly stupid.) Do you have a secret Batcave, to escape your playboy facade and really concentrate on fighting crime? Are you a genius? Have you been compared to Sherlock Holmes, or have been titled by others as The World's Greatest Detective? Would you be able to fight your way back from being a parapalegic, or face death daily?
If you answered No to any of these questions, then the cape and cowl might not be for you. (sorry)
YOU WILL NEVER BE BATMAN.
more than you will ever have. lol
