There are very few with the Penguin as the main villian. There are several where he is in charge of the Iceberg Lounge which I always thought was his best roll as Gotham's black market

What is the Batsuit in Batman Begins supposed to be made of?
I'm doing a project (writing a book) and I want to create a suit of armor that allows my main character to move without hinderment as if she weren't wearing anything at all, but protects her from the harsh enviroments of other planets and medium strength to strong attacks. Actually, if you think about it, it's alot like Samus Aran's Varia suit from the metroid series. I guess it would be a combination of the Varia suit and the Batman Begins version of the Batsuit. What is the Batsuit in Batman Begins supposed to be made of?
It's made of a Kevlar composite material (used in bulletproof vests) and Nomex, which is used in diving suits. The actual material is basically ficitonal, but is supposedly a composite of these materials.
i think it is made from the same martial as a bullet prof vest
and where can I have it made? I would like a unique, not a Batsuit but a little bit similar to Batsuit.

Just really thick Kevlar, it's the same stuff used in bullet proof vests

How can I find a certain picture of Batman where he is holding a body wrapped in a flag?
I saw a picture from the Batman comic books from the 1990's I believe, and it had Batman holding what appeared to be a dead police officers body holding a smoking pistol and the body was wrapped in an American flag. The image was striking and I was thinking of getting a similar tattoo. Can anybody help me?How can I find a certain picture of Batman where he is holding a body wrapped in a flag?

How would a real life batman keep his identity a secret?
If a real life multimillionaire decided to build a batmobile and become a crime fighting vigilante, how would could he possibly keep his identity a secret in the modern world? How would anyone, even with a ton of money, be able to build something with the functionality of the tumbler in Batman Begins and TDK and not have the feds show up at your doorstep before you even make it back home from your first time using it?How would a real life batman keep his identity a secret?
He would do it much like in the movies, I'm sure, you know, like Bruce Wayne does it.
And if the batmobile functions on tv, it functions in real life - it's already been built.
You have to have an underground hideaway for the car, remember, so the feds can't find you.
Sheesh. How would a real life batman keep his identity a secret?
it would not be possible in todays world with the easy share of information

Usually, I register my other games from a little slip inside the case with a pin, but in Lego Batman The Videogame it didn't have it and it was wrapped in plastic brand new. How do you register it then? How do you register Lego Batman The Videogame for the Nintendo Wii on Club Nintendo?

Where can I find a batman shirt with a detachable cape?
I bought this shirt at Spencer's around December 2010.

How did Batman find out that Tony Zucco killed Robin's parents?
I've been looking all over for information on how Robin's parents died. I've found that a mafia boss/thug (depending on which version of the story you follow) named Anthony "Tony" Zucco sabotaged the trapeze that the Greyson family used. I then found that Batman investigated the crime and discovered the identity of the murderer, and Tony was later sent to the electric chair/life in prison. But _how_ did Batman solve the case? How did Batman find out that Tony Zucco killed Robin's parents?
simple: "HE'S THE GODDAMN BATMAN!" -from All- Star Batman and Robin
and depending on the version, i know that in the animated series (1992) Dick Grayson saw Zucco walk out of the tent with a smirk before his performed with his parents. and so when Batman/ Bruce took Dick in, Dick told Bruce. and then in Comics version, i think Batman examined the trapeze rope and found the residue from this organic chemical used to destroy the rope and he traced it back to Zucco. i think through Zucco's hideout, or a heist he pulled at a chemical lab.How did Batman find out that Tony Zucco killed Robin's parents?
Because he's the Wold's Greatest Detective. Read Dark Victory by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. It has a basic telling of Robin's origin.

How could Batman have a chance against Superman?
I don't understand how Hollywoond could even think of devotng a whole movie to this.
Superman could move the moon...Batman is a guy that lifts weights. Kryptonite aside, how could Batman beat Superman? How could Batman have a chance against Superman?
he wouldn't, period!
Batman has beat up Superman many times. Lex Luther has almost killed Superman many times.
Batman has beat up superman not only using the ring but also huge glove of kryptonite. Batman is the only one who seems to understand that these are criminals theyre dealing with, and he has the balls to do things Superman wont do.How could Batman have a chance against Superman?
batman can't beat superman. Sure, he does have a Kryptonite ring, but it's a very small fragment and superman would have to get in close to be fully affected. Superman could fly away and shoot batman with lasers. It wouldn't be that easy though. It will be a tough fight (although not as epic as everyone thinks) because batman has stealth and all sorts of gadgets. But superman will definitely win. NO DOUBT.

Why blame Batman at the end of Dark Knight and not someone else?
At the end of Dark Knight Gordon, in order to preserve Dent's image, blame's Batman for Dent's crimes and his death. I understand why Dent's image as a hero needed to be preserved, but why blame Batman instead of one of the hundreds of other criminals running around Gotham? The city is in the middle of a huge crime wave, after all.Why blame Batman at the end of Dark Knight and not someone else?
Because Batman is willing to accept the blame. If they tried to pin the crimes on some criminal, then that criminal could deny it. They could get a lawyer and try to prove their innocence thus resulting in a real investigation that could lead back to Dent.
Also, Gordon is not corrupt. If he were to frame some criminal for these crimes he would be going against his nature and all that he's fought for.
And, finally, this sets the stage for the third movie.

Good question. Remember, however, that this IS a movie, and it's one with clear "good guys," in the classical sense. Having them do this, from a story perspective, makes them as bad as the people they're fighting. Also, the characters themselves are the type who would only do this sort of thing with the "criminal's" consent, and only under dire circumstances. Batman willingly took the blame, and Gordon feared the city's spirit would be broken (which is where the "the Joker can't win" comment came from). Also, it's unexpected, so it forces the audience to think about what's happening. I understand why they did it, but cannot condone it, nonetheless. Dent had arguably gone insane, and couldn't realize what the consequences would be in his pain, and wouldn't have cared if he had. But that doesn't mean that you should cover up five murders. This isn't him jay-walking, and it's not a one-time happening. The best you could do is keep the media away from it. The city needs to be able to trust them, and this sort of lie is always wrong, no matter what.
Gordon doesn't blame Batman. Batman insists on taking the responsibility himself. If the truth about Dent's murders would come clear than it would not only cause all charges he made to drop but also it would end Gotham's last hope in a decent system of justice and authorities.
Batman takes the blame on himself not only because he can take it, but also because he partly feels responsible in Dent's hardening. He blames himself for what happened to Dent and Rachel as he also confronts Alfred about it.
Batman doesn't need approval. He doesn't need supporters or to be supported. He will keep his duty with or without the public on his side. That's why he takes it on himself. Because being hunted is not a big problem for him. He can take it.
Also Bruce Wayne has a very strong sense of duty and justice. Although his sub-ego sometimes distracts it. It would be impossible for him to blame someone else for a crime he did not commit, no matter how bad a person or criminal that person would be.Why blame Batman at the end of Dark Knight and not someone else?
This goes down because that's the only way he can prove himself to be a man of questionable methods...he doesn't kill...so he took advantage of someone elses. Besides, the guys in shock. Gordon's got a great big mess on his hands.
His guy took out everyone. He killed off the first wave of petty crime, then the second wave of mafia family crime. And in the vaccum comes the third wave. That wonderfully primary colored freakshow that will cause a lifetime of grief from which he will never recover.
because if they blamed Dent the city would go corrupt, causing the prisoners to escape

Are the Batman toys really going to be worth a lot later?
My nephew just got some Batman toys for his birthday. He got Batman, some Clown guy and the Joker from the new movie comming out this summer. Should he keep them in the boxes or can he play with them. He is 6 and asked me because his friends were telling him he should not open them. If they are, are they only valuable now or will they be valuable in the future? Thanks. Are the Batman toys really going to be worth a lot later?
No. Too many people are saving toys these days for them to be worth anything in the future.
In the future the only toys that will be worth a bit are variants, exclusives or the toy lines collected only by little children and that are opened and played with(and those you will need to wait until the kids grow up and get nostalgic for their childhoods).
SW, Batman, GIJoe, Transformers, Indiana Jones, etc.. very little price increase in the future do to so many saved by collectors
In the long term Power Rangers would perform better.
toys are for playing.
I hope so
nopeAre the Batman toys really going to be worth a lot later?
It's really hard to say, but since Batman is so big and has been for a long time, then its a good possibility that it will be. You could always go to e-bay and search batman toys to see what there going for and then decide if you he should play with them or put them away.
I don't think the clown and Batman will be worth much but there are rumors that the Joker could be a collector's item. Its because it symbolizes Heath Ledger as the character and with his passing, it probably means a lot more to people. I would say open it so he can play with it and if you find another Joker in stores (which is pretty impossible, I've been trying), get it and keep that one in its packaging.

What is a good batman read for someone new to batman?
I've never really read many DC comics, but recently I've picked up a few off the new 52 (batman, the flash, nightwing justice league) and I'm really enjoying them. I want to read some more batman but I don't really know where to start so any story arcs or graphic novels that are good reads would be cool to know about. What did you picture the batmobile would look like in Batman Begins before it came out?
I picture a futuristic concept car with bat wings or an automobile with bat wings like the 89/92 batmobile from Batman and Batman Returns. Definitely not a big ugly a** tank like vehicle. Batman is not a G.I.Joe! Batmobile should always be an automobile with bat wings. What did you picture the batmobile would look like in Batman Begins before it came out?
A jazzed up version of a blended version of a Corvette and a futuristic car similar to the one in Back to the Future I, II and III.
They should have called the one they used "A Bat-o-matic Tank" because it was so ugly.
A black, amc pacer with spinner rims. What did you picture the batmobile would look like in Batman Begins before it came out?
a 58 Cadillac.
thats what tim burton wanted you to think.
the tank rocks. What did you picture the batmobile would look like in Batman Begins before it came out?
The Oscar Meyer wiener mobile only painted black.
Yea, given the fuel crisis in the middle east and the over-price of gas in North America, it seemed kind-of inappropriate for them to go with a gas-gussling SUV-Tank. And it's not very eco-friendly either. And frankly, who drives American-built automobiles?
But to answer your question, I didn't think about the car at all until I saw a review about the movie several years after it came out. If I had thought about it, I probably would've expected a Bently or some kind of Rolls Royce.

How can someone think like the fictional character Batman?
I mean he is always prepared, like in any situation, he'll have something in his belt, glove, and mask, and just like Sherlock Holmes, he is a really good detective. Part of it is cause of family that he lost, but is it also obsession + being paranoid. I mean how does someone think like a Batman? How can someone think like the fictional character Batman?
Stay high all day and you'll be paranoid..lol no but you just always keep your guard up. Never trust no one. Not even yourself. How can someone think like the fictional character Batman?
It's not that hard to pull off. I reckon I could easily be batman for a week and have no problem.
But It's difficult to explain it... Think of his character. Think or the movements he makes and watch the show and watch his interactions even whilst getting into his car. Think about his body language and deep emotions.
That's really all I can explain... It's difficult too explain this. You know when you know how to do something but you don't really know how to explain it? well yeah... That's how this is... lol

if you search for any of these on wikipedia it will give you a pretty good plot synopsis.
Also you can just search for "batman" on wikipedia and read from there.Where do I start with the batman comics?
Like the very start? First issue? Well don't, as much die hard fan I am, if you want to take it seriously and enjoy a good story, i wouldn't read the golden or silver age, becasue there just campy, you can found comics of batman series by different authors nowadays
just go to your bookstore and look for something with batman vol 1
i recomond batman last hero
and wikipieda to get your knowledge from silver and golden era, its better then reading it, because its just so campy compare to the dark stuff we have nowadays
I would suggest going to your public library and renting these books because buying them all would be a bit pricey.
I think everyone has a somewhat good knowledge of who batman is but i suggest you read these, it will catch you up to the comics today. I am not completely familiar with the order but you could ckeck that on wikipedia.

Batman...?
so does anyone know when does robin comes into play and does the next movie include the joker too and when does penguin man come and yeah someone find me a website to lay out the story for me :) ... and DARK NIGHT WAS AMAZINGGGGG :))))Batman...?
Nolan has not yet indicated WHO will be the next villain in the next Batman sequel. It could be Catwoman, as there was a "foreshadowing" from L. Fox when he said the new suit would hold up against dogs "and cats". But Nolan usually has more than one protagonist for Batman - so who would be with her? Riddler, Penguin or someone else? That he has not, nor is likely to say. Also, despite the incredible job that Heath Ledger did, it is important to note that the Joker did NOT die, and talked about how the two were fated to do this forever, meaning there could be a new Batman/Joker conflict in the future - if not the next film, perhaps the one after that. I know it seems hard to believe after that amazing performance, but it could happen. One thing is sure - this is the best grossing Batman ever %26amp; Nolan is going to be very careful with this franchise! There will not be any Boy Wonders and cheese!
GEESH.
SRRY DUDE I DONO.
BUT THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME ;]Batman...?
No idea but Dark Knight was Awesomme! very dark and loud too! EEEE!
no1 can replace Heath Ledger's joker.Batman...?
Robin does not fit in this new series of Batman films.
well, in this series (Batman: begin, Batman: The Dark Knight) there is no Robin. This is where Batman do a solo crime fighting. Because they're using Detective Comic series to make these movies. This is were Batman is dark!!
batman farted and poop came out of his retarted butt, then robin came and slipped in batmans retarted poo, robin started barfing and then the joker came and had a little brother
no. christian bale said that if he ever read a batman script that included robin, he would chain himself to something and refuse to work. i dont think robin is going to make an appearance in this series of films. thats not really the direction they are going.
next villain is going to be the riddler and hopefully they will include more of scarecrows psychotic behavior as well.
tdk was crazy good.
the thing you have to understand is that any potential supervillains or other characters MUST BE BELIEVABLE. what made batman begins so good was that it explained everything about batman's suit, batmobile, etc, and made it believable, not fantasy. using someone like the penguin or mr freeze wouldnt be too believable and wouldnt makes sense to the point of view Nolan is using.
imo joker shouldnt ever be used again; there is no way anyone will top heath ledgers performance as the joker period.
I'm fairly certain the Joker is not going to appear in the next movie. I thought Two-Face was supposed to, but they killed him (sorry to anyone who hasn't seen the movie). The Riddler and Catwoman would be excellent for the next movie, but that rumor has been around since 1992. It started because Catwoman was implied to return in the last series (1989-1997), and still hasn't. The rumor should have died by now. However, with how things ended with Rachel, introducing another character for him (the Batman) to rebound with, especially one he has no business being with (she's a criminal) would be perfect--especially with the difficulties posed by TDK (the Dark Knight). Robin will not be appearing in the series. The director (Christopher Nolan) and the writer (David Goyer--with Jonathan Nolan for TDK) have said so personally and repeatedly. The Penguin would be a nice control for the Riddler, who could not hold his own in the Nolanverse. I have no idea if either of them is going to appear!

Batman??????????????
Ok so in the dark knight when jokers was going to crash into gordans car and bruce drove in front of it. what did Gordon mean when he went "you dont watch a lot of new mr wayne"? all bruce said was if he needed a doctor.Batman??????????????
Gordon said that because the Joker was threatening to blow up a hospital (which he did). So when Bruce asks if he should go see a doctor, Gordon was remarking that if he had seen the news he would know that all the hospitals were being evacuated and doctors would most likely be too busy too see him.
Of course Bruce's question was tough in cheek as he knew that the hospitals were being evacuated.
GORDON: That was a very brave thing you did.
BRUCE: What, trying to catch the light?
GORDON: You weren't protecting the van?
BRUCE: Why, who's in it?
*Coleman Reese steps out of the van, shaken*
BRUCE (CONT'D): Do you think I should go to the hospital?
GORDON: You don't watch a whole lot of news, do you, Mr. Wayne?
First of all...the Joker didn't crash into Gordon's car, he was at Gotham General Hospital giving Harvey Dent "a little push." A citizen with a family member in a hospital tried to collide with a police van containing Coleman Reese, Gordon and an officer named Berg, whose wife was in the hospital. Bruce drove his Lamborghini in front of the van to protect Mr. Reese.
Gordon assumed that Bruce was protecting the van with Coleman Reese in it--the lawyer who claimed to know who Batman was--which he was, but Bruce pretended that he was just trying to catch the light. He asks if he should go to the hospital. Earlier, the Joker had said that if Coleman Reese wasn't dead in sixty minutes, then he would blow up a hospital. Hence Gordon's comedic assumption.Batman??????????????
Bruce acted like he always does as the rich billionaire playboy who crashed his car just trying to avoid signal. to make it more convincing he was not protecting Gordon, he said he needed to go to Hospital to see a doctor, wile hospital are the most unsafe spot that time with Joker's threat. so Gordon asked him that he does not watch tv often
Gordon didn't say "new", he said "NEWS".
It was all over the news that Joker was going to blow up a hospital. Bruce Wayne asked Gordon if he thought he should go to a hospital, and Gordon said, "You don't watch a lot of news, do you, Mr. Wayne?"
Do you get it, now?
.Batman??????????????
News is the word not new. He said it because Wayne pretended not to know that a price was placed on the head of the passenger Gordon was escorting.
He asked if he doesnt watch a lot of TV because prior to that the Joker said he would blow up a hospital if the person they were protecting wasnt killed. Hospital....doctors...you get it lol
He means that bruce had no idea what was going on in Gotham city with the joker on the loose and all

Batman ???????
im thinkin about going to the new one commin out
are you guys gunna go and see itBatman ???????
well...... i'll see it...... after all movies are cool!
Same. I'm watching it, too.Batman ???????
ill see it when all good movies are not coming out anymore
you've gotta be kidding. this will be probably the most highly anticipated movie of the year. Heath Ledger pretty much gave his life for this movie - he got so into the character of the Joker that it affected his whole being and probably contributed to the combination that killed him. and... it's Batman! everyone will go.Batman ???????
I'm really excited to go see it, and I hope Heath Ledger wins an Academy Award for his psychotic vicious portrayal of the Joker!
I will definitely see this movie, I hope it's awesome!
RIP Heath Ledger
most definately. i really do want to see what ledger does with the joker
Yep.
Of courese I'm going to see it. Joker looks like he is going to be crazy as always, add in you get to see Harve Dent before he becomes Two Face. I expect to see a number battles between Batman and his archenemy Mister J the Joker.

Batman????????????????
Ok Theres one thing I never got in the dark knight. when jokers thugs were going to crash into gordans car how would that ave killed them but bruce wayne was perfectly fine? I meen they were in a big police truck bruce wayne was in a smaller sports car really he would be the one that got hurt more then gordon and the other cops.Batman????????????????
you got the movie wrong. The guy who tried crash into Gordon's car was not a thug, but some random guy who's relative is in hospital %26amp; if the guy Gordon saving ain't dead in an hour one of Gotham's Hospital is to be Blasted. as for the car I think your point is right, but for someone like Bruce Wayne the Lamborghini is surely made strong enough to protect himself as a multimillionaire. add to that that Bruce simply intervened into the crash making sure both the cars (Bruce/Gorrdon) gets the partial impact, not the full blowBatman????????????????
because he's Batman, duh. lolvegan diet art games

...batman?
how did he get in the justice league? did he sue them? what does he do there? housework? cooking? he has no superpowers! even aquaman can breathe underwater. you can't LEARN to do that. anyone can learn how to fight and invent little gadgets to make up for a lack of superpowers. he's just "syndrome" from "the incredibles" movie.
he drives well. wears a completely weird costume and manages to not get laughed at. lives with a teenaged boy and somehow ISN'T accused of being gay. is that his power? dodging rumors? batman. i just don't get it....batman?
huh?
Let it go ,man....batman?
Hey buddy dont be dicsing the bat! He totally rocks! He's the brains of the opperation. He comes up with the plans that best utilizes everyones unique abilities. He also can find the weaknesses in the enimies.......O and by he never "joined" the justice league! He said that he works solo and superman wouldnt get off his back about joining! So he said that he would HELP THEM out but he never officially joined the league
Batman is the ultimate detective...with no super powers, he has no weakness.
Gay? Robin is an orphan...he is Bruce Wayne's ward..no different than a foster parent.
lay off the the detective, will ya?...batman?
Your just being a fagbag.... Batman is always one step ahead of the bad guys thinking. They said it so himself, I believe it was Braniac who said it. And I don't see you inventing your own grappling hook that could support your own body weight.
idk, he was asked by them and dont forget that he is very smart.
Batman is one of the most brilliant and ruthless "heroes" in the DC Universe. Yes it's true - he has no powers... but his character isn't someone who's supposed to stand toe-to-toe and try to punch it out with cosmic-superbeings who can smash buildings.
He's an investigator... a detective... a scientist... he's the kind of character who isn't beyond killing a villain if that's what it takes.
He's actually a much more interesting person than say ... a character who is completely super-power driven. Take away their powers %26amp; they're useless.
Are you even familiar with Justice League comic and it's history?
Batman was one of the founders of the JLA. Plus the guy is a genius. When Superman and Wonder Woman have problems who do you suppose they go to? he is one the the JLA's biggest assets.
YO!! lets see superman defeat a enemy without his powers. Batman us his mind! the organ everybody else don't uses

Batman????
Im going to go see batman soon I heard it was good but was it really????Batman????
I think it was overrated. It was not that good or outstanding. They broke off much from the comic-book adaptation style and joined this superheroes type of movies (iron man, fantastic four movie adaptations). They added realism, and did not concentrate much on gotham, but more of the globalized concept (Hong Kong was seen). Its like Batman against this psycho terrorist. The Joker in this movie was much praised for his acting (call it sympathy or empathy praises). So what you will be seeing is not that much action ala (Blade Trinity) but more of characterization, so it lasted more than 2 hours and twenty minutes. I only loved batmans bike and those shiny eyes thingie.. and the new cape.. not much style in fighting.. and of course there will be scenes where batman would be catching someone in midair. The Joker looks like a mix of The Crow and that clown guy from the twisted metal video game, not that clownings, less pun, more of a pyschopath (overdid it a lil). Lots of explosions to desensitize you from that 9/11 incident. Some psycho therapy and some social moral debates here and there. thats it.
gist:
Not much cool moves and sweet action style (a few cool upgraded gadgets tho)
much more on character development, acting hohummm..
was okay..
it was really good the jokers main words were why so serious
it kinda drives u crazy if u here and see it alotBatman????
it is an anwsome movie, the best Batman movie ever made.
The first one (Batman Begins) is better, but Dark Knight is still a good show.Batman????
I think it's fair to say that The Dark Knight is the best mainstream film of the year so far. But I think one of the reasons it was so praised is because it suprised people as it strayed away the typical blockbuster comicbook film.
It is, to say at the least, worth your money.
It's not, however, better than past films such as The Departed, Children of Men, There WIll Be Blood and No Country.

Batman...?
What is the point of Batman? He doesnt even have super powers, he is just rich...
Why is he called a Super Hero if he isnt Super?Batman...?
*Gasp!!* The point of Batman?? How can you ask that??
He's the superhero who doesn't NEED superpowers. He saves the world and fights bad guys, even though he's a mere mortal. Super-strength, invulnerable fliers have it so easy. Batman's more real! (Well, real enough for a comic book character.)
:)
The Batman comic magazine taught me to obey the laws and to dream what I could do to law breakers if I was Batman. What I learned from being "BATMAN" by being good to others ---good comes around to you.
Batman Forever

Batman is known best for his analytical mind %26amp; his scientific prowess. He's the worlds greatest detective %26amp; is rumored to be Monk's great Grandfather. He's also fearless as evidenced by his willingness to wear tights.Batman...?

Batman............... ?
i just got Batman Begins will i like it?
it not gory is it?
and will i like the new one?
what are the intense action violence, disturbing images as it said in the rating ?Batman............... ?
dude, just watch the movie, its not gory, it just shows some flashbacks to bruce's past. You will definitely like both movies. Go see them.Batman............... ?
idk
but i really like the movieBatman............... ?
The Dark Knight and Batman Begins have very different stories. Batman Begins gives you a better understanding of who Bruce Wayne really is while The Dark Knight shows some struggles he has with his role of Batman. Both are great movies. I like Batman Begins because it has villains you don't typically think of when you hear Batman. Both are great, but if you don't like action than I wouldn't think you would like it that much. I recommend it though!

Batman....?
Although i like the current Batman and his suit as well I think the best suits were in Batman Forever. It looked real good coz of it's gloss and solid look.It really matched with Batwing and Batboat. What do you guys think?I think the movie scores in the glamour departmentBatman....?
That is true, they did make sure everything had a uniform look but also made sure that it was slightly different. And also that was the movie we met Robin who is my favourite character.
whateverBatman....?
Are you joking? Those were a joke. The one from BB is the best because it the most realistic one. I saw pics from the on from the TDK and it looks to much like tron than Batman. I have to say the best one in my opion was the very first Batman.
the new batman suit is way better hun.Batman....?
I Didn't liked the Batman Forever Suit. It was all bright with nipples and Kind of Gay. No offense of course. I liked the Batman Returns suit better.
my fave batman suit was the batman returns one. the dark knight one looks cool, too. the batman begins one was terrible, i think. but i didn't really mind cuz i thot of it as a "proto-type". batman forever's first suit was okay, minus the nipples, but the suit he gets at the end of the movie, the silvery one, was dumb.

Batman??????
why's batman a superhero if he doesnt have any powers?
Superman Can fly... Spidermal can spin web... Batman rides the batmobile?Batman??????
Basically, there have been more "superheroes" without any inherently unusual abilities than there have been with any "super-powers," but your literal minded generation has trouble accepting terms in any manner other than what they seem to imply. Batman is lumped in with the so-called "superheroes" because he fits almost all of the conventions of the genre. He wears a costume. He fights crime and works for the common good. He keeps his real identity secret, and he has a secret headquarters. He has been deputized by the same part of the Law Enforcement Community, and is even summoned by a device (the Batsignal) which has no other function that is used by Gotham's police force. He has fought and defeated individuals who the police were powerless to handle. He risks his life daily for the common good.
Ironically, the first use of the term "superhero" has been traced to a scene in a "The Guardian and the Newsboy Legion" series by Simon and Kirby, which appeared in 'Star Spangled Comics' for nearly a decade, starting in 1941. The Guardian is identified as a "superhero," despite the fact that he is just a man who wears a costume to hide his identity, and he has no "superpowers." The term "mystery man" had initially been used to describe characters like Batman and even Superman, and it took several years for the word "superhero" to replace the term "mystery men" in comics, after it was introduced, and well over a decade from its first use before the non-comics reading general public started using the word.
I suggest you look up the word "superior" and see how it is defined. Super is just a contraction of the word superior and does not automatically mean what the general public assumes it means. In fact, even Superman wasn't nearly as "super" when he first debuted, but as his range of abilities grew and he crossed over to other mediums like newspaper strips, radio programs, television, and movies he corrupted the popular meaning of a word that has started out as a slang term.
Batman is beyond being a superhero...After all is told really he is a legend! Heros die, Legends live forever.
The reason Batman is a SuperHero in the comics is because he has superhuman strength that he worked on during his fomative years as an adolecent and on through adulthood. Essentially in the Batman mythos he has trained his body to act and react superhumanly. Therfore he is a "superhero". He fights for justice and searches for truth. He is the Gaurdian of Gotham his home city. However, he has been known to venture outside his city to fight other super villians, save our planet, our universe and even traveled through time to save our continuum.
Another thing to keep in mind is that his arch nemesis ,Joker, is also sans superpowers. In fact they are polar opposites aside from the fact that they have no "real" super powers.
Batman relies on strength, superior intellect, and detective skills to take his foes out of commission.
In my opinion he is the ultimate superhero because he is a mortal like the rest of us. He chose his path and took complete diligence in obtaining the best knowledge of everything and anything he needed to accomplish his tasks.
I took your question as asking why Batman, as opposed to other superheros, is he considered a superhero. For me and many others this is exactly why.
All the semantics about other superheroes and their origins aside Batman makes the grade because of who he is, what he stands for and what he has accomplished in his illustrious career.Batman??????
You can call him a "Superhero" because he helps figh crime and bring justice to all who deserve it. He is a "hero" but also a "Super Hero" because he does many good deeds and is very skilled beyond the normal policeman. Still Batman is cool because unlike Superman, Batman is human.
I gues that means Ironman isn't a superhero either. I'll point out that even though he dosen't have powers, he often defeats villains who do. That seems like a pretty good qualifier to me.Batman??????
batman is the best i mean superpowers you can do whatever you want destroy be good whatever but batman does not have any to me that is a real nonfiction super hero character
Yes that麓s true what the others says but he have the Power of BAT. You will may be see it on the newst movie which it will come out on 2010.
You don't have to have power to be a superhero. Saving peoplle is the poinbt

Batman..................?
Okay so how come when ever a new TV show or video game or movie comes out starring Batman, Robin isn't even in it? I mean Robin is just as important as Batman even if he is a sidekick. I feel they should give credit to Robin too!Batman..................?
OH MY GOSH I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I hate that so much. It's like they're trying to make everyone forget about him. I personally think robin needs to have his own video game.
And when Robin does get his own comic, the art is never top notch. Give him that, a decent love interest, and kill her off after a few years of amping up their relationship, and you'd have a properly revenge-obsessed Robin. That might get my attention. Right now he's just lame.
Uh, actually, Robin ISN'T as important. That's why it took 70 years for them to think of making a comic titled "Batman and Robin". What did you think sidekick meant? "A sidekick is a close companion who is generally regarded as subordinate to the one he accompanies." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sidekick
A sidekick is a supporting character, usually introduced to drum up interest when sales flag. Also, traditionally the presence of a sidekick shows that the main hero a parental figure, and thus a proper role model.
Now doesn't that make Robin look like a pretty lame concept?
Hey, if he's so important, why does Dick Grayson go by the name Nightwing these days. Why have there been 5 robins over the years? And why does no Robin comic ever last very long?
Because interest in the character is known to wane from time to time. Look at Tim Burton's Batman movies. The introduction of Robin was the death knell of the series. Burton knew it, which is why someone else produced "Batman and Robin".
Actually, it was the camp element that didn't go well with the inclusion of Robin, but you get the idea.
I have lots more on this subject, but you probably already hate me enough. Look, Batman really is a lot better without him. And he's better off without Batman, at least most of the time. That's why Nightwing has had so much more lasting power than any Robin series. If Batman is going to have a partner, something needs to be done to make the character stand out on his own. He needs to be made more equal. Who's with me here?
Edit: Actually, I like the video game idea. I also think Robin should have his own team, one with A-list characters who accept him as leader, and no sidekicks. That would go a long way towards making him stand out on his own.
Robin is only featured with batman if there's character development between these 2 heroes.
Also for the dark knight rises, robin was just a baby during the time period.Batman..................?
I love Robin! the robins have the best story lines ever! oh and both him and batman are in that new series young justice and they show them together a lot

Batman????????????????
Ok I have a few questions about batman.
1. why does bane drive batmans batmobile in a different color? did he like steal it?
2. why is catwoman driving batmans batpod what did batman have a garage sale and catwoman and bane bought his rides?
3. Is it true in this upcoming batman movie bruce wayne will die?
4. If so who becomes batman?
5. Does bane break bruce waynes back? what happens after?Batman????????????????
1. I'm not sure, I don't know anything about that.
2. Might be something like this, Lucious Fox hooked her up with some gear and vehicles.
3. I don't think he is going to die.
4. If he died, I would say they may introduce Tim Drake or Dick Grayson as the continuation.
5. In the comic books, yes he does. After that Jean-Paul Valley, also known as Azrael, kind of takes on the role of Batman. He defeats bane, but does not kill him.Batman????????????????
How the hell would we know, the movie doesnt come out till next year.
As long as they keep it to the "Knightfall" story line it will be good.

What episode of Batman Beyond when Batman find out his father is Bruce?
I saw it from a Justice League Unlimited clip of someone made, but I do remember batman Beyond made an episode similar to that showing how he became the son of Bruce because how the people "scientist" want to produce a whole new generation of Batman by taking a blood sample of Bruce.
If you're a DC-comic and Marvel-comic person you will understand. What episode of Batman Beyond when Batman find out his father is Bruce?
It wasnt in Batman Beyond. it was the final episode of JLU called Epilogue. It took place in years after the events of batman beyond, when Terry was fully grown.

What are the main Batman comics to read from the first to most recent in order?
I am also a big fan of his sidekicks such as robin Nightwing batgirl and jason todd so any with them in aswell will be great. I have been into batman for years but cannot find the comics in order on the internet PLEASE help. What are the main Batman comics to read from the first to most recent in order?
What you ask is impossible to list.
1)His sidekicks had their own series %26amp; there are related series, mini series, %26amp; crossovers.
2)Because of Crisis on Infinate Earths, everything that happened to Batman before the 80s never happened. His history is still being rewritten from the ground-up in Batman Confidential, so reading the Golden Age %26amp; Silver Age comics is pointless because they're out of continuity.
Your best bet is to go to Comic Vine (website), look up Batman, click the button on the left that says "comics by cover" %26amp; then only collect 80s-present issues. It will list every crossover, mini series, %26amp; related comic he's ever been in.

How come the Wayne Tower building in the Dark Knight looks different from the one in Batman Begins?
I noticed this and its been bothering me and i hope you guys know the answer to this. I have noticed alot of changes from Batman Begins to The Dark Knight. How come the Wayne Tower building in the Dark Knight looks different from the one in Batman Begins?
This is my theory.
When the monorail exploded at the bottom of Wayne Tower (in Batman Begins), it would have caused significant damage. Wayne probably used it as an excuse to renovate it. This can also tell how Fox gets a private elevator in his office.
THE TRUTH IS THAT ITS NOT WAYNE TOWER. I THOUGHT SO TOO, BUT I STARTED TO THINK THAT IT WAS JUST ONE OF THE HEADQUARTERS OF WAYNE INTERPRISES, LIKE R AND D DEPARTMENT, ECT.How come the Wayne Tower building in the Dark Knight looks different from the one in Batman Begins?
The magical unicorn flew over Wayne Towers and gave it a make over
:D
I don't recall them making explicit reference to anything about Wayne Tower in the Dark Knight, but I could be half sleep and crazy.
So... yah.How come the Wayne Tower building in the Dark Knight looks different from the one in Batman Begins?
I'm guessing that they decided to move the location of the mansion, and remodel it as well.
didn't you ask this question already
in the first movie the house burns down and they re build it a little different.

Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
Whenever I watched the original batman series or read the comics, Joker always had his skin bleached white, not make up, and he never had scars. What do you think made Christopher Nolan, director of Dark Knight, include this whole new look on joker? I personally think because he just wants this new batman series to be alot darker than the films from like the 90s.Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
He gave the Joker scars and face paint to appeal to a darker and edgier teen audience, mainly the Hot Topic shoppers. Joker did not have the scars in the comics till much recently to match the Dark Knight movie. It also depends on who draws him now in the comics too. Jim Lee draws a bad ***, scar free Joker, while Paul Dini has given the Joker the movie scars every once in a while.Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
Nope, the scars were Nolan/Ledger's idea. Also, his skin is really bleached white and his hair is really green, the rest of his look is makeup. He doesn't even use knives in the comics. The knives are a more realistic take on the Joker's M.O.: Death by smiles (a.k.a a poison laughing gas called Joker Venom).Did the original Joker from the batman comics have scars?
I think you answered your own question there....

What are some Batman graphic novels with Catwoman in them?
Aside from Hush and Heart of Hush, what are some graphic novels that feature Catwoman in them (preferably from a romantic standpoint). I tried to pull a list from google and had no luck. I have a few, but I would like to build my collection and need help trying to compile a list of must-haves for any Batman+Catwoman fan. What are some Batman graphic novels with Catwoman in them?
Not a graphic novel per se, but there was an issue of Detective (just before Crisis on Infinite Earths, I believe) where the Batman of Earth 2 is affected by gas from the Scarecrow, to be unable to see or hear his closest friends. He discovers he fears being left all alone, as he was when his parents died.
Unable to get any friends to help track down the Scarecrow, he recruits the Catwoman. She helps him. At one point, she is astonished at the large number of scars he has on his body (he must remove his shirt so she can bandage his injuries) and he says, "Oh, that. Occupational hazard. Fifteen years of fighting crime will do that to you." She gains a respect for him she never had before.
They are on the verge of capturing the Scarecrow when Catwoman starts to fade before Batman's eyes, indicating that they have become friends (he has begun to care for her.) In order to keep from being unable to see or hear each other any more, they must take the risk of taking off their masks... to become strangers to one another, who can still see each other, who have the potential to become friends in the future.
A year later, when she is paroled, Bruce Wayne marries Selina Kyle.
Check your local comic shop and ask for help if need be, but it should be about when I indicated, early to mid 1980's.What are some Batman graphic novels with Catwoman in them?

How do you get past the last boss in Batman?
I am in the last bos fight, I believe to be anyway, in Batman Arkham Asylum. The 2 titans wouldnt be a problem but its the darn henchmen. They make my blood boil everytime I die due to them. If anyone has a solution or a stratagy, please help. How do you get past the last boss in Batman?
Not the last boss, but anyway.
The way I did it was to focus on the titans. Try to put the henchmen between yourself and a titan as the titan charges, that will knock them down for a bit and give you a chance to focus on beating on the titan. When you stun the titan and jump on, try to do as much damage to the henchmen as possible, when he knocks you off, use the unblockable takedown or throw to thin out the henchmen's numbers then repeat.
I found that if you get caught up taking out the henchmen, you wind up getting clobbered by the titans. So don't get caught fighting the little guys, just evade and focus on the big ones. How do you get past the last boss in Batman?

How can I fix a big ring around my Batman game that got scratched on when my 360 was flipped upright?
I was playing Batman about a month ago and my brother took my 360 and flipped it over upright with the game still inside. It made a loud scratching noise inside and when I took it out, there was a big ring around the outside part of the disk. I have tried a disc cleaner and that didn't work. So now I am wondering if there's any other way that you know will clean it?How can I fix a big ring around my Batman game that got scratched on when my 360 was flipped upright?
You can't.How can I fix a big ring around my Batman game that got scratched on when my 360 was flipped upright?
I don't know any other ways to clean it but if you purchased a warranty on the game when you bought it then you can get a brand new game.

Is the new Batman movie gonna be a flop now that its revealed Eddie Murphy will play The Riddler?
What were they thinking when when they decieded to cast a Black Riddler. Are we supposed to ignore 50+ years of a white riddler in the Batman series .The Riddler is supposed to be white! Its like Tom Hanks starring in a movie about Martian Luther King.Is the new Batman movie gonna be a flop now that its revealed Eddie Murphy will play The Riddler?
Two weeks ago, it was Johnny Depp that was supposed to be the Riddler. Then they were saying that Rachel Weisz would be Catwoman. This week's rumor is Eddie Murphy as Riddler and Shia LeInthatcrappytransformermovie as Robin. Next week, the same websites'll probably claim that Heath Ledger will play The Joker again by means of a CGI rendition of his character.
Don't believe anything about the next Batman flick. Nolan's said that he's a LONG ways away from starting work on the movie. A week or two ago I read an interview where he said he's braindstomed a few ideas, all of which were immediately trashed. We aren't gonna see a new Batman flick for at least two or three years. Nolan'll likely do another movie in between now and then, like how he did The Prestige between Begins and Dark Knight.
Personally, I love to see the series end with The Dark Knight. Go out on top.
Agreed, the riddler has always been white, not that him being black is the main problem. Eddie Murphy can not play, the dark tone of this batman series, he is far to funny, and not serious enough for this kind of role. Although i would prefer, some other villain be introduced, like the mad hatter, my favorite, I could see the riddler, as a dark villain, if it wasn't portrayed by some who can actually be taken seriously. Is the new Batman movie gonna be a flop now that its revealed Eddie Murphy will play The Riddler?
Say what? I guess they're going for comedy again. Jim Carey wasn't a good Riddler, he was more of a Silver Age Joker type. Still, it would be ammusing to see Murphy prance around in a green suit, trying to act like a quizical repressed homosexual. XD
Why is the Riddler in the next movie anyways, he retired from crime :( He's even going to be working WITH Batman in February in Batman Confidential, but I guess it doesn't really matter, since it could be months before we find out if Bruce Wayne is really dead or not.Oh well, the last movie didn't exactly go off the comics either. Please...Beetlejuice-Joker?
you are quoting a news source (The Sun) that slow said Cher would play Catwoman.
Whats wrong with change? Nick Fury has always been white until Sam Jackson played him in Iron Man, which is the Ultimates version of Nick Fury.
50 years of tradition? So Batman in a rubber armor suit is ok but not a black Riddler? Is the new Batman movie gonna be a flop now that its revealed Eddie Murphy will play The Riddler?
its a movieeeee!!!!
if you dont wanna watch it because it has a black guy instead of a white guy, then dont watch it!!!!!
not rocket science!!
and like that one guy said, its just a rumor....

I dunno...it doesn't necessarily hav to flop...although the idea def is pretty lame
but they've already done sumthin similar in the 2003 film Daredevil...they cast a black King pin...whn in the comic king pin has always been a white guy
Eddie Murphy as The Riddler is nothing more than a rumor. Nothing has been etched in stone about the third movie, including there even BEING a third movie.
Repeat : it is JUST a rumor.
If he does end up playing the Riddler it will flop. I totally agree with you. He doesn't have the qualities of the Riddler either. At least it is just a rumor.
It's not happening. Christopher Nolan is only talking with WB about it but there's nothing definite yet.
Yeah phew, I'm glad it's a rumor. He's a good actor, I just don't think he could pull the character off.
it will be a flop cuz eddie murphy is rubbish, at least in this kind of roles.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!
We might as well have Steven Segal play Mr Freeze and that guy that played mini-me play Robin!!!

Is it possible to glide like Batman from a low vantage point?
In Batman: Arkham City, Batman is able to base jump from very low altitudes (lamp posts, ceiling gargoyles, etc.) but is this possible in reality? I thought people needed to base jump from very high areas such as cliffs, or tall buildings in order to gain some momentum. Is there enough momentum for someone to base jump off of a lamp-post?Is it possible to glide like Batman from a low vantage point?
With enough wing surface area, you can glide with a really low velocity. However, if his wing surface area is less than a hang glider's surface area, it's probably not realistic.

I bought number 400 today and it was good. The series just came out and I need to know what is the first comic in the new series. It also said that it fills the gap between batman rip and batman final crisis. Also is the new batman not Bruce Wayne. What is the first issue of the new batman comic series?
BATMAN 701 just came out, showing what happened between final crisis and r.i.p. While BATMAN (Bruce Wayne) is stuck in the past, dick grayson is pretending to be BATMAN so nobody realizes he left, although some villains have noticed something is wrong, (for example joker because dick is not as tough, scarecrow because dick is not as scary). BATMAN should be back in september, so exciting times are ahead!!!!

Is the story in batman animated series the real story of the batman ?
Is the story in batman animated series the real story of the batman ?
I mean its kinda different from the movies like the person who killed batman's parents. In the movies was the joker and in the cartoons was Joe Chill. Is the story in batman animated series the real story of the batman ?
The 'real' story of Batman is different in every medium (cartoons, movies, comics) and even within different movies and comics it changes. The 90s movies don't line up with the current films, and neither line up with the comics or the animated series, and there are some variations within the comics on the details. If by 'real' you mean 'original' the comics would mostly be the authority. In the comics, it was Joe Chill. It was only the Joker in the Tim Burton Batman movie. However, there are other inconsistencies. You have to realize, the comics have changed thier realities here and there, so some things are fluid. For awhile, Batman did not know who killed his parents. Is the story in batman animated series the real story of the batman ?

If River Phoenix liked all the Batman characters, what kind of superpower would he have liked to have?
River Phoenix once said to interviewers in May of 1989 that he had grown up with the Batman TV series, and that he liked all the characters (meaning both the heroes and the villains). However, I wonder what kind of superpower River would've wanted if he had gotten the chance to voice a character in the Batman franchise (especially if the character was a vegetarian, like he was in real life).
What do you think? If River Phoenix liked all the Batman characters, what kind of superpower would he have liked to have?
The power to not drop dead from a massive drug overdose in front of the Viper Room would probably be high on his list. It's a pretty limited superpower, but one which would have made all the difference.

Which is the best villian in the batman movies?Which do you think is the best Batman and best batman villian?
Chritian Bale and Heath Ledger as Joker are by far the best Batman actors! Christian Bale completely owns the Batman role and Heath Just Did an Amazing!!!! Job on the movie, The Dark Knight. Both Completetly changed the roles of these two characters and deserve to win.
OMG CHRISTIAN BALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Heath Ledger did amazing and should totally get best supporting actor (oscars) and if Christ Nolan does a 3rd Batman Philip Seymour Hoffman should totally be the Penguin and Johnny Depp as the Riddler! Angelina Jolie as catwoman!!!!
my vote def goes to christian bale as batman and heath ledger as joker. although i did like the michael keaton/jack nicholson..but in the bale/ledger wins

It CAN be, if the owners of the Batman franchise decides to prosecute.
However, in this particular form, it may fall within the copyright laws "fair use" doctrine as a form of parody.

I downloaded the patch but i don't get what to do with the patch files. Need help on this. How to solve the problem that occurs in batman arkham city?
i got the same problem !!! while you finished watching the cut scene just press right click and pres left click !
happy gaming _____!! and the patching wont do anything in this ! :)How to solve the problem that occurs in batman arkham city?
Just get a different patch and install it. Don't worry it will not effect your saved games no matter how many patches you install. If the new patch does not work at all you can always use your old patch again. You will get a good patch if you try downloading now though.

What would a good starter comic be for someone who wants to start collecting Batman comics?
It's my boyfriends birthday coming up and he wants to start a batman comic collection. Now I don't have the largest budget in the world, so the first comics would be a no no, but I don't want to just buy a random one. Any ideas? What would a good starter comic be for someone who wants to start collecting Batman comics?
Get the trade paperback comics.
They're the individual comics that are collected into one volume.
It's also cheaper to get trade paperbacks.
Good starting off points for a Batman collection would be:
Batman: Year One
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
Batman: The Killing Joke
Thanks everyone so much!
Trade Paperbacks, which some people call "graphic novels" are your best option if he is just starting. These collect full story-arcs from the original comics in a full book format. Usually between 3 and 12 individual comic issues make up one trade paperback. They are also almost always cheaper than tracking down and buying the individual issues. Some of the best Batman trade paperbacks to start with are:
Batman: Year One by Frank Miller
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli
Joker by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo
Batman: War on Crime by Paul Dini and Alex Ross
Batman: Black and White volume 1 - short stories by many great comics writers and artists
Batman and Robin volume 1 by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely
Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross - more of a Superman story, but Batman fans will love it too.
If your boyfriend is set on individual issues, you can buy up collections for cheap on eBay. There is a glut of Batman comics from 1988 - 1995 available, and you can usually get those for less than 10 cents each if you buy $30 or more worth. It depends on the individual series, of which there are many for Batman, but most titles from that period can be had for dirt cheap
Buy him a graphic novel. If he got Batman RIP, it's epic enough to pique his interest in everything that lead up to that moment. But pass this note to him for when he begins his own collection. It will save him a lot of hassle %26amp; money.
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
Since absolutely everything that happened to Batman before the 80s was retconned, I'd start with issues of Batman/Detective Comics that took place after Absolute Crisis on Infinite Earths. Of course, a lot of THAT was retconned in the 90s with Zero Hour.
If you're planning to buy issues %26amp; not compilations compiled into graphic novels, I recommend going this way:
*Batman #511-current.
*Detective Comics 678-current.
*About 10,000 side-series, spin-offs, alternate universe stories, %26amp; guest appearances.
I used Batman's comic history at COMIC VINE to catch up with my collection, so I knew what I needed, when it came out, %26amp; what all comics he was in.
The current origin-retelling is a series called Batman Confidential.
The Killing Joke tells about an outdated origin of the Joker, but it's essential for Barbara Gordon. If Barbara's origin is ever retold in Confidential, Killing Joke won't even be canon anymore.
The Dark Knight Returns is Elseworlds, parallel universe. It's a good story, but I recommend skipping it's trippy sequal. What would a good starter comic be for someone who wants to start collecting Batman comics?
well if your just starting you got a long road ahead it will be hard and costly to colect some of batmans finer comics but lucky for your the economy is down and the comic world is at a low point so you can purchase many comics at ebay for cheap. since batman is a long series it wouldnt matter where you start
Well if you are serious about making money off collecting comics you will have to be dishing out Major money as comics are no longer very collectible and the ones that are are expensive, if you are doing it as a hobey then i would go for one of the more popular batman stories like "Batman: Hush"
i have a collection of 1400 batman and connected character comics to sell, various first editions and four part stories, maybe to many for you, could send you a list if required?
Get the trade paperback comics.
They're the individual comics that are collected into one volume.
It's also cheaper to get trade paperbacks.
Good starting off points for a Batman collection would be:
Batman: Year One
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
Batman: The Killing Joke
Thanks everyone so much!

What would a good starter comic be for someone who wants to start collecting Batman comics?Trade Paperbacks, which some people call "graphic novels" are your best option if he is just starting.

Do you have any ideas on an adult Batman party?
I am throwing a big birthday party for my husband who is turning 25. I wanted to do a cheesy batman theme but don't want it to be too little kid-ish. Any ideas? Also any good menu ideas? Thanks...Do you have any ideas on an adult Batman party?
Well, naturaly it's going to have to be a costume party.
Might as well spike the Bat Punch or add a little venom to the Joker Juice.
Make a soundtrack. Get mp3s, CDs, or make your own mp3s with listentoyoutube %26amp; Youtube. Use music from all of the movies, the 60s series, %26amp; the Batman cartoons.
Get a cake decorated to look like your husband's least favorite character. I'd love to cut a slice out of Robin or Catwoman myself.
The costumes %26amp; adult drinks are all you really need to make it not-for-the-kiddies. %26amp; having him dance the Batusi like Adam West will deffinately make it cheesy.
I Don't think it's too cheesy .. I think it is a good idea or you could do super heroes theme--that'd be good
hope ive helped xDo you have any ideas on an adult Batman party?
It should just be a super hero party. imagine all the sexy costumes...
As long as you have alcohol and mature adults, your party will not be childish.
I suggest everyone brings a little something(like a pot luck) that is themed to what they are wearing. Example, the IceMan superhero brings Popsicles.
to keep it from being too kiddish i would go with vintage batman, you know comic book style etc.

How does batman reflect the values of the society in which he lives?
i dont know anything on batman and have to write an essay on it. any ideas. please helpHow does batman reflect the values of the society in which he lives?
Batman can be defined by his enemies. As Nolan's movies suggest, Batman is not a typical hero, but a "dark knight!" Batman's most challenging enemy is of course, the Joker.
Most of Batman's enemies are very smart. This makes Batman not only a crime detective but also a psychoanalyst. For this reason alone, I think Batman's most interesting villain (from a storyline perspective) is of course, the Riddler.
Batman is sexy and smart. He is heroic but not typical. He has flaws and chases evil smart people like the Riddler. He represents the crime-fighter, the good Samaritan in all of us!How does batman reflect the values of the society in which he lives?

What is the chronological order of the "Batman" graphic novels?
I want to read these novels in the proper order. I am going to start with Frank Miller's "Batman: Year One" and need to know the correct chronology for reading the subsequent sequels, regardless of author. What is the chronological order of the "Batman" graphic novels?

What editions should be added into the next batman installment?
I love the idea of the Riddler being in the mix for the villain but, has everyone forgot about Bane? This would make Batman use his brain and bron, strengthening the Bruce Wayne character. Bane was always a dark character in the comics and would give move depth to Wayne, strengthening his weaknesses from inside himself. Also, what do you think they need to do for the next Batmoble? Should be a revisioned concept of the one that was destroyed? What editions should be added into the next batman installment?
Chris Nolan's Batman is NOT about the "villain of the moment". That was Tim Burton's batman, and you remember how fast THAT franchise went into the toilet. Nolan's Batman is about themes of Justice and Morality in people's lives and the role of the Vigilante in society.
If you were paying attention, you know that the end of one movie suggests what is going to happen in the next movie. The end of "Batman Begins" foreshadowed the rise of Joker. At the end of "The Dark Knight" Batman was a fugitive from justice, sacrificing himself to be hunted in order to not destroy the icon of hope to the citizens of Gotham that was Harvey Dent.
This tells us that the next movie will be about the roles of official Justice (Gordon and the police) versus the role of the lone Vigilante (Batman). Gordon and the mayor's administration of Gotham must now hunt Batman as a villain. I would not be surprised to see Joker in the next movie, as Joker was not in custody, and the conflict between Joker's Anarchism and Gordon and Batman's Civil Order has yet to be fully resolved. The barbarity that the Joker exposed in the citizens of Gotham and even the police in going after the newsman who was going to expose Bruce Wayne, still needs to be addressed. They can't just pretend it never happened, and could easily happen again.
.What editions should be added into the next batman installment?
The Riddler and Two-Face always go together, remember the comics, the graphic novel, not to mention the older film Batman Forver, they were planning on killing off The Joker in about half of the third movie, but since Heath is dead, they are dismissing the joker character completely, and Christopher Nolan says the storyline picks up from Two-Face and The Riddler, he also hinted that Rachel could still be alive, and that Jude Law could be the next Riddler...... he said this would also be the films final movie that will be directed by him, he said he wouldnt mind if somebody else picked it up and placed in Bane, Penguin, Catwomen or even Robin but he said this will be his final Batman film, Bale has only signed on to Three films so this will also be his final if Nolan leaves he has stated, but Nolan says Riddler and Two-Face are no matter what his final villians.

How does Batman do the disappearing thing?
How does Batman disappear when he is talking to people so fast? I know that he was trained in Ninjutsu as a Ninja and stuff but is that a real technique? How does Batman do the disappearing thing?
who knows? if we knew we'd all be batmen and batgirls! How does Batman do the disappearing thing?
maybe he finds a good hiding spot while he's being quiet...
then lays down his bitchin' line, waits for the other character(s) to look away and bam, he stealthily slides into the hiding area...
it's not like people search for him or anything..
they just find out he's gone and then awestruck at the fact that batman left while they were talking, wondering where he learned his manners from. How does Batman do the disappearing thing?
Hi.
There are a couple of reasons:
1- Yes he was Ninja trained, so how he got there is how he got out.
2- It is a plot hole and something that is needed to keep the "image" of Batman intact- can appear at any time.
All the best.

Assuming for the moment that he's written by a decent writer, and not as a "Mary Sue" type (read: annoyingly perfect at all times)?
In current DC continuity, Batman has been doing this stuff (no, not the confusing time-travel stuff, I mean _his_ work, protecting Gotham, previously) for ten years straight, every night. He's taken vacations and been injured, yes, but that's still a lot of work being done from sheer force of habit. So with some of this stuff, he is on autopilot. It gets said a lot in the comics too--that the cowl _is_ Batman's real face, that Bruce Wayne is the disguise...basically, he's going to think like Batman first when he wakes up, and last when he finally crashes to his bed. His Hard Knock Life IS his life--everything else that comes with being an adult Bruce Wayne is just Bonus Material. It's optional but hardly necessary.
But how does one _start_ to think like that? Without having the burden of the childhood, the loss, the drivenness, and finally the years of habit, training and experience?
To some degree, it just can't happen. The Batman--either one of them, really--is a moiety. A mix. A blend of things. Take any one away and you lose balance, the center doesn't hold (Jean Paul Valley, anyone?).
But. The thing about Batman (the Bruce Wayne version) is that he's about his duality.
He is Vengeance (the rampaging, masked vigilante), _and_ he is The Knight (still does the detective work, still has honor, still doesn't kill--at least in current continuity).
He's a world-class detective, and an elite martial artist at the same time.
He has perfected his body _and_ his mind, at once. Many people aren't able to do this--either their perfection in one area sabotages another (jocks versus geeks), or their duality isn't well-matched and they just sort of muddle through on instinct (Chess Boxing, much? How do you see moves ahead after being punched repeatedly in the face?).
Honestly....Bruce Wayne is a billionaire, and for all that, he'd be _broke_ tomorrow if it brought his family back. He lost his mom and dad on the night of his _birthday_. He can have everything he wants....but what he wants. This is his hell, and this is what drives him to make sure nobody else goes to that hell.
I'm not saying you can't cultivate that duality, but it's not the healthiest thing. Not exactly sustainable.
Thanks kindly for the Best Answer. I appreciate it. ^__^ I think the thing of it is, it's not just the duality--the perfecting of body and mind. It's that the pair has to be an _inspired_ combination, not just any two will line up right... (more)
(continued) like say, wall-crawling and wisecracks would, with Spider-Man, or like chocolate %26amp; peanut butter would for a Reese's. *lol* The pair sort of has to be driven together by real-life necessity, in a way that lets them work.

The very first time Batman makes an appearence in The Dark Knight, he's seen using some sort of device that is attached to his arm %26amp; hand that he uses to fight against the Batman copycats and also to attach himself to the Scarecrow's van. What is this device and are there any pictures of it online? What's the device Batman uses in opening garage scene in The Dark Knight?

I thought it was just a claw/hook of sorts to help him attach to things (like a ninja). Remember back in Batman Begins, when he's being taught how to be a ninja, the ninja would use what we would call hand claws. And that's what we see when Ra's Al Ghul is teaching Bruce Wayne how to disappear and reappear.
Like with most things Wayne learns along the way, he makes his own version of it. So, his hand claw device could also cut open things, such as the side of the van the Scarecrow was driving.
That's how I read it.

What is the chronological order of the names of the Batman series that are published by DC?
I want to read all the Batman comics, namely the more recent ones. I can't really figure out what is done by DC and what has been taken on by other people. I read about issues like Batman RIP and The Detective ones... But What is the order? Or are these not done with DC? I am confused. What is the chronological order of the names of the Batman series that are published by DC?
